Umair was a 16- year-old boy hailing from the small town of Passu village. He was visually impaired since birth. Umair had completely given up on the hope of seeing the world through his eyes. He spent more than a decade without eyesight until he was recommended to Shifa Eye Trust hospital for treatment.

Umair had a long way to go for reaching the hospital. He travelled miles just to reach the hospital. His treatment is expected to take 2 years to repair his vision. Umair has gone through many trials since his treatment started, and he still has a way to go. The treatment is showing results however, it is not an easy road.
