Madiha was always a bright child. A single child of a widowed mother, her ambitions are just as strong. Madiha’s father died when she was merely three-years-old. Her mother, Ayesha, was shattered after her husband’s death.  She had to move into her father’s home along with her daughter. She was determined to educate her daughter, as her husband once had aspired to do so. After moving to her Father’s home, Ayesha immediately paid a visit to a new primary school for children from low income families, established by TCF.

The principal not only admit Madiha in the school, she also employed Ayesha as a housekeeper at the school. This helped Ayesha pay her household expenses as well as educate her daughter. As a single mother, the journey has not been easy. The money is tight and, other than the essential items, she can’t afford luxuries. She saves every penny to afford books and other school expenses.

Her sacrifices have paid off. Madiha scored an A in her board exam and is a very bright student. Despite being only 15, she is hyper aware of her mother’s sacrifices for her and is doing her due diligence by working hard at her studies. She is determined to make her mother proud and aspires to be able to take care of her mother as soon as she can, just as her mother has taken care of her.
